Stops back flow of water and sewer gas | Full flow design | This valve is designed for low pressure pump applications and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally | No pipe threading is required | The flexible union slips over ABS, PVC, steel pipe or copper pipe and the couplings on the 1-1/4″ to 1-1/2″ size can be mounted in either configuration on either end for connecting dissimilar size pipe diameters | The flexible couplings isolate motor noise from the piping and the internal flapper design reduces water hammer when the pump shuts off | The neoprene flapper is weighted with non-corrosive backing plates and stainless steel rivet and bends over a radius instead of a 90 edge for improved flapper life
